THE OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Video Content Producer to join our Marketing Team here at PSP Media Group based in Glasgow City Centre.
PSP Media Group at part of the DC Thomson Media company and the successful candidate will join an expanding team in an exciting working environment. You will manage the increasing demands for provision of original content primarily focused on enhancing marketing campaigns via driving audience engagement, channel growth and demand for a wide range media platforms including events in sport and lifestyle sectors.
The ideal candidate will have experience in producing, shooting and editing video for digital, and optimising for multiple platforms. Experience of working on website CMS would be beneficial. Strong golf knowledge is highly beneficial as is a passion for sport and entertainment generally.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will:
Be experienced and expert in producing video content for online marketing channelsBe capable of producing a variety of content formatsBe self-starting and creative in identifying content opportunitiesBe knowledgeable of content sources for editing and publishing purposesBe prolific in producing high volumes of short form content for social media channelsHave a passion for sport and knowledgeable of marketingThis is a key position to support the marketing team’s aspirations to build a following for its various media and events platforms through a variety of content techniques in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities will be but not limited to:
Working with the marketing team on delivery of brand and commercial campaigns
Creation of regular video content including new organic content, archive content, features, short and long form promotional content.
Creation of content in multiple formats to be optimised for different platforms
Tailor creative content ideas to key themes aligned to our commercial platforms and target audiences.
Innovative creation of content, the way it is delivered and the technology used to deliver it.
Identify and expertly utilise a mix of formats and sources to create original content
Ability to create content in a responsive manner with short lead times servicing a number of different brand platforms.
Use photoshop to edit templates and basic creation of thumbnails
Travel to and attend PSP Media’s live events to maximise content opportunities
Travel to partner venues to create compelling preview content for key events eg. Golf and football
Liaise with event host venues to design access and ability to capture content within event environments
Use insight and analysis of content to inform planning and production
Support with the deployment and optimisation of video social media platforms
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3 years working with responsibility for video content production
Additional associated content production skills – written, audio, scripting, graphics packages
Strong knowledge of production equipment and technology
Strong history of story telling through content including, features, archive content and brand content.
Excellent editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro
Mid-Level Photoshop skills and basic After Effects skills
Knowledge of social media management and best practice in a commercial environment
Basic knowledge of website CMS
Experience of managing external agencies and content providers in a marketing environment
Experience of evaluating channel and content performance
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Good IT skills, including experience of working with content management systems and a range of online communications channels.
Experience of delivering brand content in a live event environment (desirable but not essential).
