Exciting times ahead for PSP Media Group with new owners set to further grow the business

The directors of PSP Media Group are delighted to announce that the company has been purchased by Scotland’s biggest media conglomerate, DC Thomson Media.

The acquisition – which includes all print publications, events, digital and social media platforms and staff – is an extremely exciting time for PSP and all of its clients.

PSP Managing Director Paul Grant commented: “PSP has built up an excellent reputation over the last 24 years for delivering quality publications, events and digital strategies for its clients. To now be acquired by Scotland’s most respected media business is testament to the hard work that our team has done over the years on behalf of our clients.

“This marks a new and exciting chapter for PSP and its clients as DC Thomson Media is committed to growing the business and continuing to build on the excellent foundations that already exist here at PSP.”

Grant added that staff and management are excited and committed to the next stage of PSP’s journey.

“Operationally, everything will remain the same,” he added. “PSP will retain its name and continue to be based at its Glasgow HQ where, with the support of our new parent company, we will continue to deliver the quality and service that you, our valued clients, have experienced over the years.”

The inaugural Celtic FC Festival is set to take place at the SEC in Glasgow from July 26-28 and is promising to turn Glasgow green and white.

A great day out for all the family, the first-of-its-kind event promises to raise the bar in fan engagement, taking up all 20,000sq/m of exhibition space that the Scottish Event Campus has to offer, and will be a great day out for all the family.

Highlights will lots of fantastic football activities, such as free-kick, penalty-kick and crossbar challenges, as well as the world’s biggest Celtic superstore, the exclusive launch of the new third kit for the 2019/20 season, as well as the chance for fans get up close to the famous trophies Celtic have won – including the European Cup.

Taking place at the Fairmont St Andrews resort in Fife once again in 2019, Scottish Golf Tourism Week is a unique, business-to-business golf forum.

Launched in 2016, it directly connects Scotland’s leading golf businesses directly with some of the world’s leading tour operators, creating more than 4,000 meetings in the process.

There is also the chance for familiarisation trips across the country, giving visiting tour operators the opportunity to experience the very best that Scotland’s internationally recognised golf and hospitality sectors have to offer.

The week concludes with the annual Scottish Golf Tourism Awards gala dinner.

After the cancellation of the 2018 show due to the dreaded beast from the east, the third staging of our Scottish Cycling Running and Outdoor Pursuits Show was hailed a huge success by all those who attended.

From indoor zip lines, running travelators and hydro pools to mountain bike, the running track and marathon challenges it really was a fun weekend for everyone and we promise 2020 will be even bigger and better.

13th annual Scottish Golf Show dates announced

Organisers have today confirmed the dates for the 13th annual Scottish Golf Show.

Widely acknowledged as Europe’s No.1 consumer golf show, the three-day event will be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SEC) in Glasgow from March 23-25, 2018.

It will also come with a fresh new look, as well as numerous new interactive features and attractions, as organisers look to take the event to the next level.

Event director Tom Lovering explained: “Every year, we look to make improvements to our show to benefit both exhibitors and consumers and 2018 will be no different.

“We intend to bring a new and exciting feel to the show, with the ultimate aim of cementing its position as the leading event of its kind in Europe.

“In addition to a new floor-plan, we will also be introducing a host of fun new additions to the show.
